SACD
SACD stands for Super Audio
Compact Disc. It represents the highest quality sound source
available today. It is a very high-resolution format based on a new
type of digital recording technology called Direct Stream Digital
(DSD) from which the frequency response delivered, is almost five
times greater than that delivered by a normal CD.
All SACDs sold by MDT are playable on standard CD
players using standard stereo, although an SACD player is
required for the optimal expereince with up to 5.1 channels of
audio with the finest quality sound.
SACD technology offers a sound of greater warmth, depth
and clarity than a CD. No other format satisfies the desires of
recording artists, producers, sound engineers, record companies,
retailers, audiophiles and music lovers in
general.
