This mixed recital follows the highly successful Annie Fischer Schumann compilation released on BBC Legends in June 2004 (BBCL41422), which was met with excellent reviews:

None of these live recordings have been issued before, although a studio recording of Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” was made a few weeks after this BBC version for EMI. It is no longer available.

 

The performance of Kodály's Dances of Marosszék is authentic as Fischer studied with the composer in her native Budapest.
