In the booklet notes, Alban Darche writes: “Budapest concerts is the third recording that brings Gábor, Sébastien and me together. At the beginning, the encounter was self-explanatory: Sébastien, with whom i had often shared the stage over the last ten years, introduced me to Gábor, then resident in france. From our meeting sprang two fairly orchestral projects of mine: First Stringed in 2004, then Trumpet Kingdom in 2007. Besides these highly planned, structured projects, we had always had the idea of playing a free music, starting from simple and flexible material, just the three of us. We had given just such a concert at the mediawave festival in gyõr in 2004. This first encounter with our audience was a total success. We won over the public, and the critics loved it.”
