Swedish oboe virtuoso Helen Jahren here presents a delightful programme of concertos  by 3 composers with close connections – Johann Christian was the member of the Bach family most admired by Mozart, principally for his contribution to the ‘new’ Classical symphony, and Giuseppe Ferlendis was the oboist for whom Mozart wrote his concerto.  Ferlendis’ own charming concerto here receives a first recording, and the accomplished performances make for a most desirable disc, with over 70 minutes playing time.
