JOHANN CHRISTIAN BACH

 

Johann Christian Bach, youngest son of Johann Sebastian Bach, was a good friend of Mozart.  His chamber music is closer to Mozart’s than that of his father. 

 

The Barock-Compagney ensemble of Berlin has recorded five differently scored chamber works by the ‘London Bach’ on period instruments. 

 

Christine Schornsheim – the recipient of several recent awards for her complete recording of Haydn’s sonatas plays harpsichord and fortepiano.
