Since the artists’ first contact with jazz, Karin & Mimmi have found a great source of inspiration in the work of eminent trombone players Jay and Kai both as individual musicians and also as a group in the early days of Sliding Hammers.

 

Nowadays Karin and Mimmi mostly write their own arrangements and compositions but always with roots in the Jay and Kai soil.

 

The selection of music on this album is chosen to give an air of the great Jay and Kai, but is uniquely combined with the artists’ own Sliding Hammers Sound.
