The series reflects the growing interest in English Song and encapsulates its rich heritage. This CD has a strong and enjoyable mix of songs by Ivor Gurney, Peter Warlock and Roger Quilter. The two main artists in this series are soprano Sarah Leonard and pianist Malcolm Martineau, with guest baritone Jonathan Veira providing extra colour and variety with his beguiling, rich baritone.
