This is the world première, as seen in Venice at Biennale 2002, of Big Bang Circus, a recent work by Claudio Ambrosini, the prolific Venetian composer, worthy of esteem for the originality of his style and for being unrelated to any aesthetic 'church'. The libretto is by Sandro Cappelletto, critic and musicologist.
An orchestra, a group of singers and a showman are about to commence their performance. The theme is the story of the creation of the universe. The story runs backwards. It reaches further and further back into time from the present, until zero time, the moment of creation, the Big Bang.
