“The impressive energy conveyed in the choral singing owes much to the set's guiding force, Maestro Alessandrini, whose leadership consistently results in vital, vibrant performances.” Classics Today on OP30383
Following on from the success of their recent Monteverdi CD (OP30435), Naive are proud to present a new release from Rinaldo Alessandrini and Concerto Italiano, here joined by exceptional soloists, featuring the sacred music of Alessandro Scarlatti.
Alessandro Scarlatti was a Baroque composer especially famous for his operas and chamber cantatas, which are notable for their fluency and expressiveness. He is considered the founder of the Neapolitan school of opera, and was the father of two other composers, Domenico Scarlatti and Pietro Filippo Scarlatti.
Concerto Italiano’s discography has won all the major international awards, including Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik, Gramophone Award, Prix de la Nouvelle Académie du Disque, Premio internationale del disco Antonio Vivaldi (Cini Foundation), and Prix de l’Académie Charles Cros.
