Pei-Jee Ng and Pei-Sian Ng were born in Sydney in 1984, and after training in Adelaide, where they grew up, both studied at the Royal Northern College of Music with Ralph Kirshbaum, and appeared in the 2007 Manchester International Cello Festival. In May Pei-Jee was selected for representation by Young Concert Artists Trust (YCAT) in London and he’s also been selected as a Park Lane Group Artist for 2009. Pei-Sian was Commonwealth Musician of the Year in 2007, winner of the Gold Medal at the Royal Over-Seas League Music Competition held in London. Both have appeared as soloists with orchestras around the world. In January they made their debuts at New York’s Lincoln Center, and in April premiered the double cello concerto Helios, Helios by Estonian Tornu Korvits with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. In March 2009 Pei-Jee and Pei-Sian Ng give a joint debut recital at London’s Purcell Room.
“These artists are at a level few achieve... and they commit to their cellos in an almost ecstatic state, eyes closed, expressing everything through their instruments.” - The Age (Australia) / “Twins Pei-Sian and Pei-Jee Ng give stunningly fine accounts of themselves… exceptional cellists.” - The West Australian
