CPO is delighted to present A Cappella Pleasures, a disc of folk songs from Southern Austria and Slovenia.

 

The four men of Schnittpunktvokal join the Slovenian female vocal foursome Kvartet Vita and together explore the vocal folk poetry from both sides of the border. These songs deal with love, praise and joy as well as with sorrow and despair.

 

Counter-tenor Peter Paumgarten from Schnittpunktvokal said of the album “We want to approach the old songs from our wonderful region with due respect and appropriate humility.”
