Otto Klemperer was one of the greatest interpreters of Beethoven’s repertoire. Together with the Philharmonia Orchestra he made memorable studio performances of Beethoven’s Symphonies, which EMI recorded and turned into a catalogue highlight. With the same orchestra Klemperer played Beethoven’s Symphonies in a series of Vienna concerts held in 1960.
