Four Engineers at Abbey Road Studios in London have remastered these historic EMI recordings from their original analogue sources for release on Hybrid SACD. Between them, Simon Gibson, Ian Jones, Andy Walter and Allan Ramsay have many years of experience remastering archive recordings for EMI and other record labels.
This is the first time that these great recordings have been released in a high resolution format, offering the listener more clarity and detail than ever before.
The titles in this collection are hybrid SACD/CD versions which allow the listener to experience the music on a standard CD player as well as any SACD player.
Presented in a full-colour lavishly illustrated hardback book format the notes explore not only the music but presents the original LP covers and notes and includes never before seen photographs of the original master tapes. - Details are also included about the mastering process and how EMI Classics and the engineers at Abbey Road Studios have brought these recordings to a level of quality yet to be released.
