Bobby Scott (piano;vibes), Whitey Mitchell/Jim Corbett/Nabil Totah (bass), Al Levitt/Will Bradley (drums).
The first of Bobby Scott's trio albums was cut in 1954 when he was only 17 but already a precociously gifted Bud Powell-inspired pianist. He was also a talented vibraphone player, using this instrument to great effect in several performances on the third date included here.
Together these three sessions heralded the emergence a considerable performer and nascent composer who claimed "….you don't create music, you organise sound".
