Czerny is probably the least known of the composers featured on this CD. He was a child prodigy and pupil of Beethoven’s at the age of 9! But being as these Horn Trios by Schumann and Brahms are possibly some of the lesser known compositions by such well known composers, the pieces on the release form a perfect and enlightening programme.
