Masato Suzuki
Dominik Worner is one of the most sought-after bass-baritones of his generations. He won first prize in the vocal Bach International Competition and has appeared all over the world, conducted by Rilling, Kuijken, Herreweghe and many others.
Masato Suziki was born in Holland in 1981. He started conducting at the age of 14 and studied composition at Tokyo National University. He also studied organ and improvisation and harpsichord with Bob van Asperen. He recently directed “L’incoronazione di Poppea” in 2009 at the New National Theatre in Japan.
The album consists of Brahms’ 15 Romanzen fur eine Singstimme mit pianoforte ( Op. 33 ) and Ludig Tieck’s (1773 - 1853 ) Die wundersame Liebesgeschichte de schonen Magelone.
The booklet and album presentation is one of the best we have seen.
