Gramophone said of the previous volume (7776172) “The luminous and revealing Venzago set might be described as Bruckner for non-Brucknerians”. Of Symphonies 4 & 7 (7776152) they wrote: “These particular performances exhibit a thorough understanding of Bruckner and would certainly spur you on to further listening were you to encounter them before any others.”
