She and Alexander Wells have built up a large repertoire which includes unusual items besides the better known and extends from Bach to the present day. Penelope’s publications include Cello Ideas: A Practical Guide. She has performed in Europe, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

Alexander Wells has a varied career as accompanist and chamber musician, with a speciality as a choral accompanist. After taking a degree in Modern Languages at Cambridge he went on to study at the Royal College of Music with Stephen Savage and Alasdair Graham, training later as a répétiteur at the National Opera Studio in London. He has worked on the music staff at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, at Glyndebourne and with many other companies.
