Petula Clark was born in 1932 in Epsom, England. At the age of nine years she worked as a singer and later as an actress. At age eleven, she even had an own radio show (“Pet‘s Parlour“) in England. Between 1944 and 1957, she appeared in twenty British films. Her musical career began in 1949. From 1953 to 1971 she was successful with 21 titles in the British pop charts. In 1957 Petula Clark moved to France. From 1964 to 1982 she also made it into the Billboard pop charts - with 22 titles.
