Another thoroughly enjoyable disc of ‘discoveries’ in DANACORD’s ‘Danish Piano Concertos’ series. Only the Malling concerto is otherwise available, and with brilliant advocacy from the indomitable Oleg Marshev, no competition need be feared. All three of these ‘post-romantic’ works come up as fresh as paint – well worth hearing, and worthy successors to volumes 1 (DACOCD535) and 2 (DACOCD581).
