2006 is Mozart Year, and Naïve are thrilled to contribute to the celebrations with a stunning new recording of Mozart’s famed Mass in C minor, released to celebrate the 250th anniversary of his birth.

Mozart’s Mass in C minor (K.427), known as the Grand Mass, is more ambitious and elaborate than his magnificent Requiem Mass (K.626) though both works were unfinished at the time of Mozart’s death.

Winner of the Stanley Sadie Handel Recording Prize 2005, Sandrine Piau has recently wowed critics with her recordings of Handel and Vivaldi: “This is without doubt the finest recital of Handel arias I have ever heard.” The Gramophone on E8894

Accentus and Laurence Equilbey have gained much acclaim in the UK press. Their releases of Barber Transcriptions, Brahms and Schoenberg have all been very popular: “The extraordinarily accomplished singers of France’s Accentus choir have turned to some of the most popular orchestral works for this wonderful new recording…a delight indeed.” Gramophone Editor’s Choice

“Emmanuel Krivine is one of today's greatest conductors and is never, under any circumstances, to be missed” (The Guardian)

La Chambre Philharmonique perform on period instruments.
