David Tong, one of today’s most talented young pianists, presents his 2004 debut disc of 19th and 20th century romantic music by Rakhmaninov, Chopin, and Liszt.

David Tong was born in 1983 in Macao and went to live in Australia in 1988, where he studied with Nehama Patkin and Stephen McIntyre. At the age of 12, he won the Keyboard division of the Symphony Australia Young Performers Awards. He has performed with the Symphony Orchestras of Sydney and Melbourne and toured throughout Australasia, China, Italy and Eastern Europe. In 2002 he moved to New York to study at the Juilliard School of Music where he was awarded the Vladimir Horowitz scholarship.
