This 2 CD set contains the complete Spiritual Choral Music of Heinrich Schütz. The series of 29 motets was first published in 1648, the year that marked the end of the Thirty Years War and also saw the death of the composer.
The Dresden Kammerchor and Cappella Sagittariana are directed by early music specialist Hans-Christoph Rademann.
