David Fruhwirth – violin / Henri Sigfridsson – piano

David Fruhwirth, brilliant young violinist from Salzburg, has been praised for his “unfailingly musicality, stylistic awareness and amazing command of his instrument”. According to The Strad, he has “proved the depth of his soloistic powers.” He studied at the Salzburg Mozarteum, and in New York with Pinchas Zukerman. He has won numerous international awards, including the 1997 Panasonic Award for his New York debut, and has performed in Holland, Germany, Israel, Italy, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and the US. David’s endless explorations and unearthing of unknown yet marvellous works led to Trails of Creativity, his debut CD, featuring works by Austrian, German and British composers from between WWI and WWII, most of them world premiere recordings. This 2-CD set pays homage to music from Vienna, Berlin and London composed during a fraught by fertile period in history.
